About Me

I am an upland hunter and E.B. enthusiast. I got involved with the breed in 1995 and National  club in 1997 because of my first Breton, Elle. She and my second E.B., "Hoss", were such outstanding hunting dogs and companions, that I desired to see the breed recognized in its own right in the United States for what it truly is; "the smallest but the best of the pointing breeds". That interest has led to owning, enjoying and sharing dozens of these dogs with friends across the country and abroad who share the same passion for the breed. I am  still a  bird hunter first, and individual lover  of these dogs, who has hunted them across the U.S. and into Canada, and gone over to France to see them work in the mother land of the Breed. I am proud of the traditions developed by the Georgia club, and enjoy the dogs and interaction with our members who enjoy them. I am also proud to have been active with and a part of the CEB-US (formerly FBGDA) as we have worked to protect and improve the Epagneul Breton in the United States. We have done some wonderful things with and for the dogs themselves.

About Me

I live on a rather remote farm in the wilds of Oglethorpe county. There is good hunting here for many game species, including ducks and occasional geese that come in to beavered up creek bottom marshes and a large old stock pond from when cattle were run here. There is decent dove shooting. The fields are leased to a farmer who plants sorgum,(for sale to bird seed companies), and winter wheat. There are wild quail here also, but not in great numbers. I don't plan to pressure them much, but I think they will be great to help me train my new companion and hunting partner, Tess. I am a long time hunter but new to upland hunting with a bird dog. It is something I have wanted to do for a very long time and I am finally getting started this year. I looked at and researched the many species of bird dogs and finally settled on the french brittany as the one I wanted to have as a companion and to hunt with. I will be welcoming Enchanteresse de Plum Creek, the name I chose for her and which I have shortened to Tess for her call name, in less than a month. You will be seeing us at club events and field trials in the not too distant future, I hope. I am looking forward to meeting you all. We will have a lot to learn. I'm hoping that some of you will be willing to help us, or at least tolerate us until we come up to speed. I wish you all the best.

About Me

Lewis and Pam are the proud companions of ten EBs. They own us and they have won our loyalty and respect as the greatest little gun dogs in all colors. Our EBs may not win the most or top titles and honors but, we consider them all TOP DOGS. The birds they point and retrieve taste the same and we get a heart full of love and enjoyment just being with them in the hunting field, field trials and in our home. No greater earthly  friend and life companion can give us more pleasure than our EBS. Keep up the good work !

About Me

Don't know where to start so it's impossible to know where to finish. I'm just a good old boy from Iowa. Started training dogs in 1970. Left the corn fields for the mountains and prairies of Montana in 1982. My dogs have taken me to many places in this USA with all the great met friends along the way. Georgia is one of those special places where I'm sure food was invented along with hunting upland birds with a double gun.

I have a wonderful wife and a great Family that, without either, my experiences would have been limited at best. We continue to raise, train and judge the EB's with much enthusiasm and hope to see all my friends in the field some day.
